Nikon Lens Selection Help!!!!!
I want to get a zoom lens for my D40X and I'm not sure what to get.
My main question is whether the maximum aperture on the more affordable lenses (f4-5.6) will get the job done for misc scenery shots where low light won't be an issue the majority of the time…..or should I take a closer look at the expensive F2-2.8 lenses) I can get a 70-200 f4-5.6 for around $200 to $300 or a 70-200 f/2.8 for $800-$900 OUCH The f 2.8 would be nice….but is it needed??? |
The next question is.....if I decide on a 70-300 f4-5.6, why not go with the 28-300 f3.5-6.3???? This one lens would cover it all.
There is a lot more to these lenses than I thought:confused: I think I am going to buy a Sigma 70-300 |
You might look into the Tokina lenses. They are great lenses at a little less $$
I think the 70-300 F4 is probably your best option for what you wanting to do. |
