For us newbies...
what's your favorite camera(s)???
|
I have a Sony HD HVR-Z1U and love it. It has a 12x zoom though and wish it had a 20x. Other than that, it is a great camera.

We have the sony pd-170 and really like it. Only a 12x optical zoom. But in low light the camera is great.

I just have a Canon ZR700, run of the mill, handheld camcorder. I was rated really high in Consumer Reports for low light filming and well above average in all the other areas. I didn't have the $ for a high end camera and this suits me fine for the time being.
I bought a HunterCam cradle to use while hunting, allowing me to film myself and assist when I get the chance to film others. I didn't use it as much as I wanted so I need to make a conscious effort to use it more. I've talked to a friend already about teaming up to go after gobblers with our archery equipment, my blind and the camera this spring and he's in. So, hopefully(!), I'll get some cool footage in May! |
still have to learn how to do the video thing and put it on the site, so for now, just post these sites and the pictures that momma has taken. if you have dial up, this will take some time. and one other note. momma put all the captions under the pictures. the pictures were taken with a canon rebel eos, or something like that. and we have a sony movie camera right now. might invest in a new one for the upcoming hunting trips. WARNING: she does like to take pictures. you have been forewarned.....

I also have a hvr-z1u and love it, works great in low light even for a hd! I've had it for just over 6 months but am picking it up I don't go anywhere without it.

adam how do you like that hunters cam cradle
|
Has anyone every tried the Bows Eye wireless cam?
|
Bowhunter, the one thing about all those cameras like that is that they do not have the functions of a larger set up. zoom being the biggest problem. have been looking for something that has everything the big cameras have. so far, no luck. have looked into the spy cam things, but again, no zoom.

Canon XH-A1 and the Canon XL-H1
