Oh well, we started out not locking the gun case. So Vicki has to go buy some more locks even though we have 10 locks—“note to self…don’t forget to lock gun case”!!

We should arrive in Orlando at 7:30 pm tonight—hogs, gators, gobblers, down at Hoppy’s…we drove into camp, met everyone and headed to the house. All 3 of the turkey hunters were already done the opening day.

Vicki, RJ, Nanna, Willie, Bob, Bill Ball, Hoppy, Susan, Case, Sage, Reed, Charlene, Pat, Donna, Donavin, & Rosie.

This morning, we all went to church, later Willie Ames (Actor) and his friend Bob came into camp. We had a good day. Shot the TC Muzzleloaders, Ten point crossbow, and Hoyt bows. We drove around looking for hogs, but didn’t see any. Fern and his daughter Kelly also came in. It is going to be a fun camp!

This morning we headed to Sonnyboy’s. We set up near the roost—had a pile of birds fly down, we had 3 hen decoys out, but they stayed wide and even though we didn’t get a shot, it was a great morning. Tonight we searched for hogs but no such luck—Bob shot a real good boar and Kelly shot her 1st hog with her bow! A Great day—Bill Ball came in to help film.

Headed back to Sonnyboys’, the same roost and the birds did the same thing—A big gobbler held up way out and Hoppy fanned him and here he came. He stayed to my right and at 30 yards, I dropped him. The TC 20 gauge did its job—we got back to camp and Willie had shot a hog too. That evening, we headed out for hogs—saw some, but only sows & piglets—lots of turkeys all over!

Vicki’s turn for birds. We went to the windrows, had 3 gobblers working, but where I was, I couldn’t film the birds to the right, so we had to pass. Went back to camp, ate and headed back out. At about 3:00 pm, we spotted 3 gobblers, quickly set up and it only took a couple of calls and here they came. Vicki shot her bird and Hoppy couldn’t stand it, so as the other birds just picked at V’s, he shot a gobbler too—what a day!

3-20-08
We headed to Sonnyboy’s—saw some hogs—lots of turkeys & deer, but no shots. We put out some hogwild—c’mon hogs & pigout to establish some pig activity where we could make some stacks—Willie shot a good gator with his TC Muzzleloader and they decided to go back in the morning to get him—with the full moon, it seems the pigs are just not moving much. We took Nanny & RJ out this evening, but no luck. Saw birds, deer, and NO PIGS.

3-21-08
Vicki, Nanny, RJ, & I all went to Busch Gardens.

3-22-08
Headed back to Sonnyboys’ and spotted a good black boar, but he fed into the brush. We saw 3 pigs feeding near the feeder and we set up as they fed out. I took one of the smaller hogs—the guys found Willie’s gator—all in all, a very good day! It rained all afternoon, so we went to Easter service. Went to Calgary Chapel where Pastor Dean helped us to do a voice-over for Nikon 30 commercial for our rangefinder. Kaleb helped us out and did the recording—**have to send some Nikon gear down to Hoppy for them. Maybe a gift certificate for dinner for Kaleb.

3-23-08
Today is Easter—we are going to Hoppy’s family for a lunch and then heading out to hunt this afternoon. We went to Sonnyboy’s and Nanny had a shot at a big sow with her Ten Point, but no luck.

3-24-08
RJ, Case, Vicki, & Nanny and I went to Sea World.

3-25-08
This morning, Vicki & I headed to Sonnyboy’s and we got Vicki and a good sow on camera—got back to camp, took Nanny out to a blind, saw a bunch of hogs, but they came in too late.
