"My all time favorite hunting memories are of the first few seasons I hunted with my dad when I was about 5 years old. We only hunted small game, but every part of the experience was brand new to me. We spent every minute possible hunting in the fall, fishing, trapping or training dogs."
I was born in Carter County Kentucky, where every uncle on both sides of my family hunted or trapped at some point. My family moved to Ohio where I started hunting with my dad and some of my uncles. My dad taught me to respect the outdoors, and I was instantly fascinated with every living thing in the outdoors. I started trapping around the age of 11, and continued through my twenties. I still have some of the traps I bought from kids in grade school; someday I will again enjoy the excitement of a trap-line.
I didn’t start hunting whitetails until I was in my twenties. My brother actually got me started. This was my chance to try bow hunting, and I love it as much as anything else in the outdoors.
I began filming with my brother around 2000, and have since spent many hours hunting and capturing video of animals and places I only dreamed of as a kid. Working with Archer's Choice allows me to be in the outdoors a lot, and to spend every day thanking God for the animals and the wild places they call home.
