Meegan Turnbeaugh - Missouri

"My favorite hunting experience was when we were in Florida at Osceola Outfitters (HOPPY’s) in 2009 with Ralph, Vicki, Lonnie, Dusty, Joe, Chet, Amy, Ma, and Don. We had the opportunity to shoot hogs and gators. I have not laughed that much in a long long time... The girls rode in the BACK of the Truck while the high maintenance boys were in the cab with the air conditioning on full blast."

I currently work as Director of Client Services for a software company. I have my undergraduate degree in Communications from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO, and am currently working towards my Masters degree in Project Management at Washington University School of Engineering in St. Louis.

I have hunted since I was a little girl. I used to go out in the woods with my Dad and Brother Mike McKeethen (Sr. and Jr.)... Now, I never really got anything while I was hunting with them because really I was too young and just woke up early and they had no choice but to take me along... As I grew up I did enjoy shooting guns and hunting rabbits and squirrels. I didn’t really start harvesting big game animals until I started hunting with my husband Lonnie and son Joel. My first harvest was a buck and a doe about 1 minute apart... Joel was with me and he also harvested a doe during that hunt. We got a total of 3 deer that first hunt. It was so much fun. My first bow kill was a Pope and Young Black Bear. I went deer hunting prior to that with my husband Lonnie but missed two deer because I was so nervous. I think I made up for it after I shot my bear.

Being a part of Archer’s Choice is quite a privilege. Where else can you be with awesome people doing something you love and the girls get bigger animals on a regular basis. Well, that is because Vicki is such a great example to us...(RIGHT GIRLS)... Ralph you are too, but on a serious note, being able to capture hunts on film whether you are the hunter or the videographer, takes patience, time, and the ability to change what you are doing rapidly. There are no second chances when you video. Do we make mistakes? Absolutely, but we learn from them and that makes us better each time we go out. I am thankful for the mentoring I have received from Ralph, Vicki and the awesome staff at Archer's Choice (Gary, Zendal, Freddy, Joe, Ma, and Jody). They are amazingly talented and have helped each and every one of the POSSE members to become better hunters, videographers, and people. I cannot thank them enough.

I have been blessed by being able to spend time in the outdoors where it is quiet and peaceful where I can pray or sleep (wink) until it rains or an animal comes into view, then it is an adrenaline making, knee knocking rush like no other. I am honored to be a part of this team.
