Brady Barber - Missouri

"My most memorable hunt was two years ago on a new piece of property. My brother Chet and I had seen this nice 10-point several times in one area. So together, we hung stands, waited for the right wind, and on the first time there, we got the big boy! Although it wasn’t the biggest deer, it was about where, when, and how, and getting to enjoy it with Chet makes it my most memorable hunt to this day!"

I am 24 years old and I live in High Ridge, Missouri with my brother Chet and his wife Shelley. I am a Gas Technician for a company called MCC. Being single and having an extremely understanding boss, allows me to take my outdoor passions to the extreme.

It all really started for me, when I was too young to remember, starting with small game and pellet guns. It quickly expanded, always involving friends and family. Several years back, my mother bought for me an inexpensive video camera for Christmas. That deer season, my brother Chet and I would switch on and off every weekend, comparing the two deer we were passing and letting grow, as we were waiting on the “Big Boy”. Two years ago, my brother Chet became part of the Archer’s Choice’s POSSE and started hunting/filming professionally, allowing him to go on several hunts and experiences of a lifetime. With all this, came a new camera, which was very exciting to me because we had our annual trip to Canada planned with our good friends Lonnie and Meegan, who are also part of Archer’s Choice POSSE. Horrible weather and conditions made that trip unsuccessful, but Chet and I had so much fun videoing, learning, and just sharing it all together. On our return was deer season opener in Illinois—we filmed all year. We put a lot of time and effort into it and saw a lot of animals, but we were just being too picky. This made it the most memorable deer season I have ever had, always being in the tree with my hunting partner, and getting to watch the whole season over and over anytime I choose. The season ended with cold and bitter temps, and me filming for Chet in several feet of snow. But getting to meet Ralph and Vicki made my season the most rewarding and memorable. Shortly after some of our footage was reviewed, I received an email on January 28th, asking me if I would join the POSSE, forever changing hunting for me and my brother.
